Pattern vs Reality:

I didn’t choose to go for the cute leaves in the original pattern, and I think I could have done my shaping better, but I otherwise found the pattern easy to follow. Some of the pumpkin patterns out there tend to be more involved (you crochet a flat piece and then shape it into a pumpkin), or use more complicated stitches, but this particular pattern only uses basic stitches and works in the round like it does with typical amigurumi. If you’re just getting started, this is a good way to go with. It also works up pretty quickly.
