Cost of Kit: $7

I bought the Miffy Crochet Bundle for Beginners | The Woobles bundle, which came with Miffy, a tulip, and this lantern.

Difficulty:
The Woobles accessory kits aren’t designed to teach you how to crochet — they’re for creating small, fun accessories. The Woobles Lantern was genuinely one of the more “difficult” patterns I attempted early. It’s not so much that the crocheting is difficult, but the other attachments and figuring out the tassel were new and different.

Stitches Used: Single Crochet, Increase Stitch, (Invisible) Decrease Stitch, Back Loop Only
Time Taken: 3-5 hours
Kid-Friendly: Yes, but you’ll want to supervise some of the sewing.

Pattern vs Reality:

I did not understand the tassel. The problem with the tassel is once you start snipping, you can’t really undo your snips easily, and I didn’t have much excess yarn left. So my bad tassel was something I would need to live with. It turns out I’m generally not talented at the skill required to make the tassel. It’s similar to the technique used to make a pom pom, and it took me many tries and several different Youtube videos to make one that I used for a seal I made later (approximately Review 17 in the future). My only advice is to be very careful before you start snipping with scissors. And to not feel bad if you have a hard time with it. I did too!
